The vibrant golden hues that pour into your glass are a precursor to the bright and alluring aromas with hints of citrus. The 2013 vintage is dense with lots of tropical citrus notes that are vibrant and juicy. There is brightness to the acidity that gives this wine gorgeous length and exciting complexity with hints of toasty vanilla and spice that linger on the palate.
Consistency and uniformity are the two words that best sum up the 2013 vintage. A warm dry spring brought on early bud break, and allowed for even flowering. The early start permitted for vigorous canopy development and optimal berry set. There were a couple of heat spikes, and a few small events that had minimal effect on ripening and quality. With that said, the warm sunny weather allowed the grapes to stay on the vines as long as necessary, which allowed optimal development of color and flavors. Overall it was an outstanding growing season.
