2008 Right Bank Blend Magnum
The 2008 vintage was the end of a two year drought cycle in Napa Valley. It was a very dry and cold spring resulting in the longest frost season for 30 years. The combination of the cold and dry resulted in distinctly intense berries. The vintage gave us a long hang time through September and into October resulting in wines that are very balanced and soft; and with a great tenderness that makes them immediately likeable. The wine has a smoky nose, with bold flavors of stone fruit, blackberry, and currants. It is full and fat from beginning to end.
