Even after 24 years winemakers still remember this year vividly. 1989 challenged our skills as winemakers with heavy rainfalls and botrytis running amuck in the valley. Lucky for us, our small acreage of hand-cared vines meant we could adapt quicker and faster than the big guys. These wines stood up to the challenge and now boast chocolaty, briary fruits and balanced oak accents with soft violet and cherry fruit aromatics.
