Rachel began her path to Sullivan with formal education and training in the culinary arts. After years working in professional kitchens throughout Sonoma and Napa, she decided there was a hole in her knowledge. She knew everything there was to know about the kitchen, but much less about what happened at the table. How the plate is presented, how the guest perceives the visual, olfactory, and taste components of the dish, and how it works in unison or as a contrast with wine. She decided to seek this understanding by shifting to the wine industry.

Rachel was part of the family long before she officially came to work with us. When she heard of the plans for the second generation to re-launch the winery and brand, she knew it was something she wanted to be part of. She soon got her chance. Rachel officially joined the Sullivan Vineyards team in May 2012.

According to Rachel, family, friends, love and laughter are the primary ingredients to both memorable experiences in both life and wine. Ingredients she says she finds in excess at Sullivan Vineyards.
